- Who runs this site?
Aude Sapere is a in game resource for the gaming site Obsidian Accord, which is owned and run by Chelle. Aude Sapere IS NOT a real library website, it is MADE UP. If there is a Aude Sapere library out there somewhere, it's purely coincidental and obviously this site has no affiliation with them. Currently there are no others designated as Admins for Aude Sapere.
- What is the purpose of this site?
Aude Sapere is set up to be a in game resource for players of Obsidian Accord. It houses information characters can look up and investigate as well as OOC information for players to further their gameplay. Currently only the Librarian can post content. This can change should the need arise. - What scripts does the site use, and are they available for download?
The site uses eFiction, available for download. - Do I have to register to read anything here?
No. You don't need to register to read the work posted here at this time. - How can I submit my work?
Currently only the Librarian can submit articles to Aude Sapere and update the site as needed. Should the need arise to allow for more 'librarians' then this can changed [mostly based on people wanting to be librarians and add to the resource]. - What kinds of works will be seen here?
Articles posted for IC use will be various publications written to further gameplay be it from reference sources to newpaper/magazine publications. The idea for it will be similar to anyone using a library for doing research. On the OOC front, there'll be character info sheets provided by players [if they feel it is merited] as well as written articles to serve as erratta or an addendum to rules [as agreed upon by players] or any other OOC information that can further the gameplay at Obsidian Accord. - IC, OOC..what is that?
Aude Sapere is a gaming resource for the RPG [Role Playing Game] site Obsidian Accord. IC [In Character] refers to anything of or related to game play. OOC [Out of Character] refers to anything of or related to the 'behind the scenes' of playing a session or scene. That information can not be use IC unless you're given a waiver by the 'governing' body over the session you're involved in. Most will have concessions on how the OOC information can be gleaned IC. As always..ask about any concessions or relay your ideas on how the information can be gleaned IC to avoid a dispute. - What are the ratings?

- How do I decide what category to search?
Categories here are an Efiction recreated version of the Dewey Decimal System used in libraries. You can click the Dewey Decimal System link at the top for a run down of what can be found in each category. - How do I decide what Subject Matter to search?
The Subject Matter is a top level heirarchy of many subjects within the Supernatural categorization [a category that will feature many works here in Aude Sapere]. Simply use the browse by Subject Matter link in the upper navigation to see what's available. - Do you offer a beta-reading service?
Yes and No. The Librarian will be happy to read a work and give her thoughts on it if asked. There is an option to designate yourself willing to beta-read such that authors can contact you and ask will you read their work and offer up constructive criticisms and their thoughts for those registered. Soon the site will be able to show you a listing of beta readers rather checking each profile. If you're looking for a beta reader prior to offering an aritlce to be housed in Aude Sapere, you can post a thread in the gaming board .
- Do I have to register for an account if I just want to read the stories?
No. At this time you do not have to register for an account to read most of the work here. Anything that will need to be rated Adult will require registration. At this time, no work is rated as such. If you want to review something or rate it; favorite it or an author, you do need an account. Please note that Aude Sapere or it's parent site Obsidian Accord is not liable if registered users falsify the age consent statement in their profiles, falsely state they are over 13 years of age during registration or a work hosted does not have all the applicable warnings and is rated incorrectly. Although site administrators try their best to ensure each one is, the reality of it all is some may not have all the applicable warnings and/or is rated correctly. - What are the advantages to registering for the archive if I don't want to submit anything?
You can set works and authors as favorites, and receive email notifications when they are updated. - How do I register for an account?
At this time, we ask if you register that you acknowledge it will treated as if you've been issued a library card and to note for which character you'd like that associated. [A mod will be in progress for that at some point]. Those interested in being librarians, please contact The Librarian. If you're a known player, it'll be a simple change of status. If you are a new player, you'll be given a probationary period to see if it's someting you want and if you're a contributing factor to expanding the concept of Aude Sapere. To register for an account, click on register link. Just follow the instructions on that page and you're all set! - Why do I have to wait on a confirmation email before I can log in?
It helps prevent auto registering from bots. If you don't recieve one within a few hours or believe it got sent to your bulk mail and deleted, contact the Admin and you'll receive a temporary password that you can change after you login. - How can I change my password or other personal information?
To change your password, bio, email, etc., log into your account and select "edit personal information" from the menu. To recover a lost password, click here and enter the e-mail address with which you registered. Your password will be sent to you shortly. - How do I add stories/authors to my favorites list?
